Craft, Baking & Pizzas: A Creative Day at Day Options

Last Tuesday, we had the pleasure of welcoming some fabulous young individuals from TWCI (Together We Care International) to join our participants at our Day Options group for a day filled with creativity, collaboration, and fun

From the moment the session began, the energy was high. The creativity and skills shared by the TWCI group were truly inspiring, creating a wonderful opportunity for everyone to collaborate, learn from one another, and enjoy meaningful social connection.

We kicked off the day with a Halloween-themed craft table, where participants let their imaginations run wild. Spooky decorations and festive creations quickly filled the table, with everyone adding their own unique flair. The crafting session was full of laughter, teamwork, and pride as participants admired each other’s creations.

Once the crafts were complete, the fun continued in the kitchen. Participants worked together to make Halloween-themed biscuits, enjoying every step of the baking process—from preparing the dough to decorating the finished treats. The excitement carried on with pizza-making, where everyone had the chance to choose their own toppings and help prepare a delicious lunch.

The day was a perfect blend of art, cooking, and social connection, supporting creativity, independence, and shared experiences. By the end of the session, everyone left feeling inspired, accomplished, and very well fed.

Days like these highlight the value of collaborative activities that bring people together, build confidence, and create lasting positive memories. We loved sharing this creative and fun-filled day with TWCI and look forward to many more opportunities to work together.
